Attendees at the first annual Southern New England Kosher BBQ Championship will have the chance to taste a new product in the kosher food world. Nomoo Cookie Company, of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, launched its bakery earlier this summer with eight varieties of kosher OU certified, dairy free, all natural cookies.
“We are excited to sponsor this event,” said Nomoo founder, David Bader. “It’s not just a barbecue. It’s a celebration of how delicious kosher food can be.”
The BBQ, which takes place in Fairfield, CT, on September 7, coincides with the town’s 375th anniversary. Admission is a donation of two canned goods, which will be brought to Operation Hope (a local shelter) to fill their shelves for those less fortunate. Nomoo Cookie Company will provide cookies for teams and judges, as well as samples for attendees.
This event joins Nomoo's growing roster of community involvement, which includes providing volunteer time and cookies to the River Valley Waldorf School, Upper Black Eddy, PA, American Legion Post 950, Riegelsville, PA, the ARC of Mercer County, NJ, Lambertville, NJ Food Pantry, and Bucks County-based United Way and Rolling Harvest Food Rescue.
